In India, the Constitution of India enumerates as one of the fundamental rights that an individual can practice the religion of his choice, convert to any religion of his choice or remain independent of any religion. Even if a person belonging to Dalit or Scheduled Caste gets a government job through reservation, even if he converts to another religion of his choice, the government job which he got through the privilege while he belonged to the previous religion will not be lost. Things like these will make us realize how much our constitution has valued religious freedom to choose the religion of choice. Similarly, if a man and a woman of suitable age want to marry, even their parents cannot stop the marriage. Whether they belong to the same caste and religion or to different castes and religions, the eyes of the law are equal. இந்தியாவில் ஒரு தனி மனிதன் தான் விரும்பிய மதத்தை பின்பற்றுவதை , தான் விரும்பிய மதத்திற்கு மாறுவதை அல்லது எந்த மதத்தையும் சாராமல் இருப்பதை, அடிப்படை உரிமைகளில்  ஒன்றாக இந்திய அரசியல் சட்டம் பட்டியலிடுகிறது .  ஒரு தலித் அல்லது பழங்குடியின வகுப்பைச் சேர்ந்தவர் தமக்கு வழங்கப்படும் இட ஒதுக்கீடு சலுகை மூலம் அரசு வேலை ஏதாவது பெற்றுக்கொண்ட பிறகும் , தான் விரும்பிய வேறு ஒரு மதத்திற்கு மாறினால் கூட, முந்தைய மதத்தில் இருந்த  போது கிடைக்கப்பெற்ற சலுகை மூலம் அடைந்த அரசு வேலை பறி போகாது. இது போன்ற விஷயங்கள் , நமது அரசியல் அமைப்புச் சட்டம் , விரும்பிய மதத்தைத் தேர்வு செய்யும் மதத் தேர்வுரிமையை எந்த அளவுக்கு மதிப்பு மிக்கதாக்கியிருக்கிறது என்பதை நமக்கு உணர்த்தும். அதே போன்று உரிய வயதை அடைந்த ஒரு ஆணும் பெண்ணும் விரும்பி திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டால், அத்திருமணத்தை அவர்களது பெற்றோர்கள் கூட தடுத்து விட முடியாது. அவர்கள் ஒரே ஜாதியை , மதத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களாக இருந்தாலும், வெவ்வேறு ஜாதிகளை, மதங்களைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களாக இருந்தாலும் சட்டத்தின் பார்வை சமமானது. இதுவும் இந்திய அரசியல் சட்டம் வகுத்தளித்துள்ள ...
